One of the most common errors that occur on the SIF file is the effective date. if you have received the below error message you must amend the effective date and reupload the file.
Open up the file you just uploaded and click 'File' & Save as
The below page will appear you will need to select the save as drop down menu highlighted below and revert the file back to excel before any changes are processed. Save in excel and proceed to amend the Effective date.
Open the file and select the cell containing the effective date.
Right click this cell and select format cells the below will show – you will notice the seconds is missing from here.
You need to add in your seconds – got to the highlighted section below and add in ‘ :ss’. Click ok and you have fixed the effective date.
Save again in CSV UF-8 Comma Delimited or CSV Comma delimited if your computer doesn't have the 1st option.
