Am I allowed to pause my contributions?
The Plan rules will determine whether or not you are permitted to take a contribution holiday. Please contact your Employer for details.
If I am allowed, how do I pause my contributions?
You can do so by advising your Employer and letting them know you wish to pause you contributions. Once the Employer has been notified they must enlist you into a 'Premium Holiday Benefit Group' before the cut off date this brings your ER & EE percentages to 0%. You can be in this group for as long as wish. This will also include people on Long term sick leave, Maternity Leave etc. Whenever you are ready to begin contributing as normal please inform your Employer before the cut off date as they will need to swap your benefit group back to the original group and upload a file to the system.
To bring your AVC to 0% you must login to your account and click the box like below and reduce your AVC to 0%.
